Heres just a sample of ideas and real world use cases for the Cecil Alliance Foundations technology.

Cecil Alliance Use Case

Domestic Animals:

MustangChain is an excellent example to showcase how CAF technology may be leveraged for domestic animals, in this instance for the equine industry. The similarities are that the system that is set up for MustangChain can be applied to other domestic animals as well, including the pet industry. We chose for this example because its already a vertical that has been worked out.

By using the modular components of CAF, MustangChain aims to validly authenticate equine passports, reliably identify equines, and ensure swift accessibility to individual equine data, MustangChain will improve transparency and data accessibility in the equine industry. As experienced with any industry in the past, building transparency is a major catalyst for growth. This solution for example prevents fraud with medical records of a horse and give individuals and organizations insight into the studbook or lineage.

Cecil Alliance Use Case

Wildlife conservation:

By using the transparent, trackable, and borderless CECIL token, the donator can be assured the funds are actually used for the right cause. The Cecil Alliance Platform (CAP) will provide new ways of raising funds and donations that can greatly improve the efficiency but also the funds that are spent on a specific program or habitat or even animal.

After filling in some basic personal information, a personal account has been created for the company or an individual. This account functions as a data wallet, in which a user can store both CECIL tokens as well as manage the data assets of the animals under their care (animal ID’s on the blockchain).

These CAP ID’s can also be used to receive funds directly from the community. For example, just as LinkedIn provides the ability to track companies but also the people that work within those companies, CAP will provide a direct way to send donations directly to the company or any of its employees that have a CAP ID. Indeed, since the animals will also have a data asset capable of receiving tokens, donators may instead send funds directly to a particular animal or group of animals, and the carers will then be paid from the data assets of those animal.

Also, Cecil Alliance makes it possible that charities can easily raise funds in combination with smart contracts to prepay funds and allocate additional donations when the agreed work has been delivered as promised. For example three different parties need to approve if work has been delivered, this could be a fixed percentage of a local community, an independent auditor, and the charity itself.

Livestock

NB-IOT and big data analysis can be used to detect virus outbreaks in cattle, by measuring crucial variables such as heartbeat, body temperature, and breathing patterns. By identifying an outbreak before it spreads, the infected animal(s) can be quarantined thus preventing further spreading of the virus and infecting the health of other animals and humans.

CAF is currently lobbying for adoption of this solution with governments on local and national levels.

Combining the Cecil Alliance modular components

Zoos

The operational side of a zoo is more comprehensive than most people think. All those different animals, all with different feeding regimens, all needing different temperature, humidity, or light in their enclosure, all needing to be constantly monitored for health and sickness, and a dozen other variables that need to be constantly tracked. Right now this is mainly done through rigorous routines by the staff.

Cecil Alliance implements state-of-the-art hardware and software solutions to identify, track and monitor animals on the blockchain. Cecil Alliance provides the modular technologies for zoos to implement a fully automated monitoring system.This offers advanced animal management and monitoring by NB-IoT microchips used to collect animal data as location, body temperature, and heart beat. Additionally, the modular components can also be used to track variables relating to the enclosures that these animals find themselves in, including temperature, humidity and other variables that are deemed important for the health of the animal.

All these variables can be analyzed by decentralized apps using innovative algorithms and artificial intelligence. Smart zoo technology opens new horizons for research and animal management. The smart contracts used in combination with these developments take official procedures and transparent fund raising to a new level. In addition to that it provides an easy to access knowledge platform that connects animal related communities and industries on a global scale.
